UPDATE 03/06/2020


We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer more service, MOT, repair slots and parts to our customers, although wait times are longer than usual and we will still prioritise key workers.


Please call before you visit so that we can ensure that it is safe to arrive at an allocated time. Unfortunately you will not be able to wait inside our building for any work to be completed for obvious safety reasons so we recommend that you drop your car with us and pick up once we phone you to collect.


We are now accepting calls via our normal number of 01646 651255 during office hours and will provide you with clear instructions to make your visit with us as relaxing and stress-free as possible.


We are still operating on limited staff, so if you have any issues getting through to us, please do not hesitate to contact Steve on his mobile, 07813 687862. You can also call Steve with any after-hours enquiries. Thank you for your patience and understanding.




UPDATE 11/05/2020

Since our last update, we have been busy working to keep keyworkers on the road and have been prioritising our service to ensure that we complete urgent vehicle repairs only.

AFTERSALES (Repair, Servicing, MOT and Parts):

After reviewing the announcement by the Welsh Assembly Government over the weekend, we have decided to continue to run our aftersales department on very reduced staffing levels in order to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers. If you have an issue with your vehicle, please do not hesitate to contact us on the below number. We will do our best to help you, however there may be a longer delay than usual while we prioritise our workload.

If you have a repair, MOT, service or parts request, please only contact us on 07813 687862, we will do our best to assist.

Due to minimum staffing, we will not be answering our usual landline number, but the above mobile will always be with our Managing Director Steve who is able to discuss the issue over the phone with you and if needed book your vehicle in with us following the COVID-19 safety guidelines in place.

If the call goes to voicemail, please leave us a message and Steve will contact you back.


SALES (New Cars, Used Cars, Motability):

We are able to assist you with any sales related queries but only via phone at this stage. Please contact Steve on 07813 687862 in the first instance.

Dear customers,


Due to the changes made earlier today to MOTs and extensions for testing, we will now be closed until the restrictions are lifted. We will reassess whether to reopen upon the next government update in 3 weeks. At this time, the safety of my team and our customers need to take priority.


I would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful customers. You have all been very understanding during a very difficult time for us all. Thank you for showing courtesy to our team, especially when following our instruction on social distancing when visiting us.


I would also like to thank our wonderful team at both our Vauxhall and Neyland branches. I am proud of each and every member of the W P Lewis and Son family who have shown great professionalism during this difficult time.


Although our doors are temporarily closed, please do get in touch if you have an issue as we are only on the other end of the phone.


Questions:
We pride ourselves on our personal service and I will still help wherever I can with any questions or concerns.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 24/03/2020

As per last night’s UK government announcement, the following temporary changes have been made to our business.

SALES: CLOSED UNTIL RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED

AFTERSALES: LIMITED OPERATION – VERY URGENT APPOINTMENTS ONLY

We will now only be dealing with very urgent aftersales operations including urgent MOT tests for those who are keyworkers and require a car to continue with their urgent and important work during this difficult time. If your car was booked in for anything other than an urgent case over the coming days please contact us to discuss rescheduling.

We cannot and will not deal with anything that is deemed non-urgent under any circumstances due to the low numbers of staff that we are now currently operating with.

Please note that if your car fails the MOT, we may now struggle to gain parts due to inevitable disruptions within the vehicle parts supply chain. It is therefore important that your MOT is not left until last minute.

We are no longer able to offer courtesy cars.

We will endeavour to do our very best to keep keyworkers on the road and we all need to work together to make this happen.


IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

If you have an urgent issue, please call Steve Lloyd our Managing Director on 07813 687862.

He will discuss the issue with you and speak with our limited team still able to assist. Further instruction will then be provided to you.

PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH ANY STAFF MEMBER FACE TO FACE.
DO NOT ATTEND AT OUR DEALERSHIP UNLESS SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED TO DO SO.
THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER PHSYICAL CONTACT BETWEEN CUSTOMERS AND STAFF.

What you can do at home?

Even though our sales department is closed, our website (which is partnered with Vauxhall via the highly acclaimed GForces website management software) is packed full of information relating to new and used vehicles. Please make use of this. You can customise cars online and do a lot of research from your home. Please feel free to chat with us via direct message on Facebook. We are happy to assist and answer any questions.

At this difficult time, we must sacrifice own freedoms and privileges to ensure that we protect our community, our country and our NHS.

Dear customers,

Just a quick update from our previous written announcement advising you on what we can offer.

We want to limit all customer and staff contact.

We understand that our customers need vehicles, especially keyworkers at this difficult time. We will do our best to keep you rolling. We must however follow social distancing practices.

If you are coming to us this week, please watch this video from our Aftersales Manager Kerry.

  1. If possible, ask someone you are currently in contact with to pick you up and drop you off once the car is ready for collection. Do not put anyone at risk! Remember, we must now be following social distancing recommendations.
  2. Drop your vehicle off outside the building or in one of our parking spots at the side of our workshop. Do not approach staff with your keys.
  3. Place your keys in an envelope or tag your keys with a label if you have one (as long as we know it's your key we don't mind how you do this)
  4. Place your keys through our letterbox at the front of the building to the right of our front doors.
  5. Once the job is complete we will phone you and take payment over the phone.
  6. A staff member will then discuss how we can hand the vehicle back to you with the least contact possible.

Please avoid contact and follow social distancing practices for your own safety and the safety of our team.

PLEASE NOTE: We are limiting the use of loan cars due to concerns over potential cross contamination. If you can manage without one, we urge you to do so.

If you do not have anyone to assist you with drop off or collection, we can organise to pick up and drop off the car to you but we are limited by distances on this.

At these unprecedented times, safety must come above absolutely everything else. Please avoid contact with staff and fellow customers and help reduce any kind of risk by following strict social distancing practices.

If your appointment is urgent then we are very happy to streamline your appointment and adjust our service to you in line with your requirements as best as we can.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF SERVICE

We will be offering a pick-up and drop off service to all customers within the local area (please enquire with us if you are further away and will try our best to assist subject to staffing levels). This will ensure that you do not need to leave your house and will be especially for those who are vulnerable.
