25th April 2017

This morning, the dealership team had the privilege of having a special visit from Denis Chick, Vauxhall's Director of Communications who presented the retailer with Vauxhalll's 2017 customer excellence award, as well as a commendation from Vauxhall's Managing Director for having won Vauxhall's customer excellence award every year since it's inception in 2012.

This comes during a time of exciting change for the dealership as the firm is investing in upgrading and modernising their showroom and aftersales facility at their Pembroke Dock Vauxhall Retailer.

Since Vauxhall introduced the Customer Excellence Award back in 2012, the team have won every one of the awards that have been issued which rewards top performing retailers for the quality of service they give to their customers based on Vauxhall’s customer satisfaction surveys. W P Lewis & Son have subsequently proved themselves as class leaders in the industry and are part of a very elite set of retailers in the UK who have received top ranking results consecutively, indeed they are the only retailer in Wales to have achieved this.

Steve Lloyd, Managing Director of W P Lewis and Son comments

“We’ve always seen ourselves as a small family business who provide a personal service with honesty and integrity. I am proud to say that our loyal and dedicated staff members are part of the family here. We are a local business and we have pride in the way we look after our customers who in turn are very loyal to us, which I am also hugely grateful for.”

The dealership has been serving Pembrokeshire since 1950 and the principles set by the late W P Lewis MBE and his son Stuart Lewis are very much instilled into the culture to this day.

“I would like to personally thank the team for being so devoted to W P Lewis and Son for so many years. Most our team have been with the firm for over 10 years, some of whom well exceeding the 20-year mark. We are a small tight-knit bunch and are one big family. I am thankful for their support and loyalty to the company. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

News of the achievement comes at time of change for the family firm which first started trading over 66 years ago. The firm is working with local firm Hook Construction Partnership to complete the renovation.

Steve continues “We are investing in the future so that we can continue to provide award winning service to our customers. We’re all very excited to see the result of the refurbishments. The major stage of the refurbishment is due to be completed by the beginning of April and customers will then be able to enjoy a new look and layout to the showroom and aftersales customer area”.

W P Lewis and Son is open as usual during the works and will be holding a showroom open day once work is complete so that people can have the opportunity to have a look at the developments made.
